Genital Warts is also known as Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). HPV leads to the growth of Genital Warts that appears on the penis, vulva, vagina, cervix, anus or the throat. It increases rapidly so you must go get checked for this STD.
This virus can spread by oral, vaginal or anal sex with someone with HPV.
The warts may appear a few weeks to a year later after contact. There is no estimate or predictions when they can visibly be seen.
Women with HPV are at high risk of cervical cancer. Men can get cancer in the penis or the anus.
There are 750,000 new cases of HPV each year.
